Harrison’s High Potency Pepper Fine 100% organic complete food was created because birds can be intolerant of artificial pesticides, fertilisers and preservatives. The ingredients are premium whole grains and are approved for human consumption.

Harrison’s High Potency Pepper Fine is recommended for…
– Canaries, Doves, Budgies, Cockatiels, Lovebirds and Finches as a year-round diet.
– Birds that are moulting, overweight, underweight, very active, housed in a cold climate, recovering from illness, affected by liver or kidney disease.
– Birds that are weaning – feed for at least 6-9 months.
– Birds that are breeding – Ideally feed for 2 months prior to the breeding period and until chicks are weaned, or for at least 6 months before resuming Harrison’s Adult Lifetime.
– For birds being converted from a seed-based diet, and for birds being converted from any other diet. It is recommended to feed for a period of at least 6 months before transitioning to Harrison’s Adult Lifetime.

We would recommend a veterinary health check prior to changing a bird’s diet.

Feeding Directions

Cockatiel / Lovebird: 2 – 5g (1 1/2 – 3 tsp) of HPP ½ – 1 tsp additional foods
Quaker: 3 – 7g (2 – 4 tsp) of HPP 1 – 1 1/2 tsp additional foods
Lory* / Conure: 5 – 9g (3 – 5 tsp) of HPP 1 – 2 tsp additional foods
Pionus: 10 – 15g (1 – 1 1/2 tbs) of HPP 1 – 2 tsp additional foods

FEEDING OF ADDITIONAL ITEMS
It is not recommended to supplement with vitamins or other bird or animal supplementary food products. Additional foods should be limited to no more than 10% of the overall diet. Offer good quality vegetables and fruits in small quantities; dark yellow meaty or dark green leafy items such as sweet potatoes, carrots, pumpkin, winter squash, broccoli, parsley, spinach, mango or papaya are the most beneficial.

[For birds with suspected iron-storage disease: Avoid citrus fruits, tomatoes, kiwi, strawberries and other foods containing vitamin C. Avoid grapes, currants, raisins, liver, red meat, egg yolk or dark green vegetables such as spinach, which may contain high levels of iron.]
