Description
Peanut Kernels for Wild Birds by Garden Dreams are a high quality, excellent source of energy for birds . You can supply them all year round, but they become especially vital in winter, as natural food sources dwindle and most of the wild birds’ energy goes towards keeping themselves warm.
The main species attracted by Peanut Kernels are Great Tit, Blue Tit, Coal Tit and occasionally Woodpecker.
As many of the birds you’ll see are small species, whole peanut kernels must be offered in hanging feeders, where they can peck off pieces themselves. This is especially important in the spring and early summer, when young birds will be around, as the young birds, and some adults, don’t realise that they can’t eat the peanuts whole, and can choke if supplied with them on a tray.
Always renew the nuts on a regular basis.
