Description
Psittacus Lory Special Hand-Feeding 1kg is a follow-on hand-feeding formula ideal for hand-rearing chicks of Loriinae sub-family from the moment pin feathers begin to emerge.
It contains dehydrated hibiscus flower and papaya, which aids digestive transit.
On average Lories consume between 7 ml-10 ml of formula per 100 g of body weight during each feeding session. The number of feeding sessions and the amount offered should be adjusted according to the individual and development stage.
Its use is recommended until the chicks have fledged. During weaning phase, it should be gradually replaced by Lory Gel and Lory Nectar (listed separately), either dry or mixed with water.
As a follow-on hand-feeding formula this product would be used when the bird is 16 days old. For younger birds use early-age hand-feeding formulas such as Frugivorous Psittacine Crop Milk or Frugivorous Neonatal Hand-Feeding (both listed separately).
